TTS-ULT 10 Watt Ultra Bright Maglite Multi Mode LED Upgrade - recently upgraded with the Luminus SST-40-W LED (1200 Lumens)
New for this winter (2020/21) is the TTS-ULT10MM with the Luminus SST-40-W LED as apposed to previously with the Cree XM-L2 LED. This LED conversion now produces approximately 1200 lumens plus with the high power mode.
The TTS ULTMM (10W) was by far the brightest single LED Bulb for the Maglite 4 to 6 D cell currently available. We do now have a brighter 12 watt model particlularly for the 5 to 6 cell Maglites.
This LED is several times brighter than the 3 watt Cree XP-G2 LED bulbs. This LED upgrade has a wide voltage range and operates at full power right down to 4.5 volts making it ideal for 4D cell Maglite torches upwards. The upgrade is also suitable for 3 cell Maglites but if the batteries are relativley well used it will flash / strobe in the high power level which is the flat battery indicator.
This LED upgrade, has 3 power modes of low medium and high. Please see picture comparision images below to see the relative peformance levels
Runtime with low power mode is approximately 36 hours.with 4D cells. Power consumption approximately 1 watt producing approximately 100 lumens
Runtime with medium power mode is approximately 12 hours with 4D cells. Power consumption of approximately 3 watts producing approximately 350 lumens
Runtime with high power mode is approximately 5 hours with 4 D cells. Power use of approximately 9 watts producing approximately 1200 lumens.
It is designed with a solid polished metal reflector and heat sinking to allow for improved optics and heat dissapation. This bulb will transform your Maglite into a ultra high performance, reliable, energy efficient torch making it the perfect choice for professionals.
Easy to fit, just a matter of replacing the original reflector and bulb with the high power LED upgrade
To change the power modes it is just a case of pressing the Maglite switch off and on for approximately 1 second. This LED upgrade also memorises the previous power mode when switched off for a length of time so you have the option of just using one mode if this is your preference.
